The position is offered for a period of 2 years. The starting date is as soon as possible or date. The position is fulltime with salary and benefits commensurate with a public service position in the state Hesse, Germany (TV-H E 13).
The Section of Neuroimmunology focuses on translational neuroimmunology, with research areas including the pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis (MS), inflammatory neuropathies, and rare neuroinfectious diseases with autoimmune features. In addition, inflammatory aspects of neurodegenerative diseases are also investigated. Our goal is to unravel disease-relevant immunological mechanisms and contribute to the development of novel diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.
We offer access to modern, fully equipped laboratory facilities and make use of core facilities providing state-of-the-art molecular and cellular biology technologies. Our work is closely linked to other research-intensive departments at the university that focus on inflammatory diseases.
This is a qualification position intended to support further academic development, including skills in project management (also for larger multi-center projects), expanded teaching experience, and lab and science management. The position offers opportunities for independent academic work in line with personal academic qualification goals. The contract is limited in accordance with § 2(1) of the German Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz (WissZeitVG).
