Tasks:

  • scientific services in research
  • development of an independent research project with a high degree of autonomy
  • generation of randomized RNA molecules and peptides
  • investigation of the function of peptides in CRISPR-Cas systems (project 1) and RNA structures in tRNA biosynthesis (project 2)
  • characterization of the enzymatic activity of nucleases
  • physiological studies in microbial model systems (E. coli and S. acidocaldarius)
  • multidisciplinary collaboration in an international environment
  • international communication of research through publications and oral presentations

The position will be filled by a temporary contract that is limited to the period which is necessary to gain further scientific expertise (such as the preparation for a subsequent qualification period).
